At BrandSafway, we know our employees are our greatest asset, which is why we give them the tools, training and resources to be successful.  Come join our growing team!  We are looking for a National Key Account Manager for our Suspended Access Elevator division.  Salary range for this position is $115,000 - 135,000 annually (this range represents the anticipated low and high end for this position) with an generous commission structure.

As part of our strategy for maintaining a leading position as provider for suspended access solutions within the Elevator Industry, Spider by BrandSafway is looking for a Key Account Manager to lead and develop our major suspended access accounts within the Americas region. Reporting to the Director of Market Development, you will be part of an impactful team who, together, are working towards developing meaningful partnerships with international customers across a range of industrial business sectors.

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible and fully accountable for the overall management and development of your designated accounts. This will primarily include cross-functionally leading group of local commercial resources as part of your dedicated account team and actively seeking out new opportunities to develop the partnership with your stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understanding, planning and developing your assigned Accounts in order to grow Spider's Suspended Access business in the Elevator industry.
  • Sales development throughout the value chain, from specifying Spider access solutions to negotiating, closing opportunities and servicing the Account.
  • Development & implementation of the strategy for the selected Accounts to achieve sustainable and profitable sales.
  • Definition and delivery of Spider’s value proposition, by driving the awareness of the importance of Safety, Total Cost of Ownership and Global support among others on all customer interface levels.
  • Build relationships at utilities and IPP’s to drive preference for Spider production solution at stakeholders beyond the assigned accounts.
  • Acting as the primary Spider contact and negotiator for the assigned Key Accounts, initiating and maintaining relations at all management levels and locations.
  • Seek for the development and implementation of new Product solutions in order to strengthen Spider’s position at the assigned accounts and grow the business activity,
  • Create and drive strategic revenue growth plans through a solution selling sales plans.
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 50% nationally.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid technical understanding combined with strong commercial/business capabilities and a background working within the elevator industry, potentially at an OEM or supplier. We therefore would expect you to have at least 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar commercial role with proven experience in key account management and a strong track record delivering short term results while creating long term customer value.
  • You will have experience in sales management and business development, bringing strong capabilities in the B2B area and the ability to work on both direct and indirect sales. Being an international industry, we are looking for a candidate with good intercultural awareness and someone who enjoys collaborating across borders.
  • You will be able to work successfully on both a strategic and operational level, managing cross-functional account teams on global level. A strong networker, you will have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be fluent in English. 
  • Spider’s HQ is based in NYC however, the candidate may be based remotely out of a home office preferably in a major east coast North American city.  It is essential that you are located close to transportation hubs for regular travel.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner while carefully observing all traffic rules and regulations.
