Job Title: Rigger and Driver

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Spider equipment is loaded with necessary equipment & supplies to complete the job.
- Perform rigging and de-rigging services in accordance with Spider and Scaffold Industry Association (SIA) safety guidelines.
- Prepare paperwork including but not limited to Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Rigging & De-Rigging Work Sheets, Job Checklist, loadout form and DOT Inspections.
- Make service calls to demonstrate equipment and instruct customers in the correct and safe use of equipment, rigging procedures, operating methods, safety checks, and emergency recovery procedures.
- Follows company procedures to ensure that all work-related records are accurate, updated in a timely manner, and conform to company standards.
- Assist in the maintenance of equipment in the job sites as well as in the shop.
- Clean and maintain rigging trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.
- Observes safe working practices, safety rules and regulations by adhering to correct use of safety equipment, correct safe rigging procedures, correct operating methods, required safety checks and emergency recovery procedures.
- Operates Company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner for the pick-up and delivery of equipment, parts, tools and material as directed.
- Performs periodic safety and maintenance checks on Company vehicles and insures that required maintenance actions are accomplished on schedule and maintains related records.
- Performs general warehousing tasks such as the receiving and storing of parts and material as well as packaging and shipping parts and material and maintains related records.
- Performs daily general housekeeping and janitorial tasks to keep both shop and office spaces clean and orderly.
- As directed, assists Service Mechanics in the maintenance and repair of Spider equipment and accessories in the shop and at job sites.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
- After training, may properly rig, safely operate and use all Spider standard equipment and accessories.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience using Spider Brand Equipment or working with suspended access systems
- Rigging experience, a major plus.
- Ability to work in elevated construction areas without fear of heights.
- Scaffolding installation experience highly recommended.
- Valid drivers' license with clean driving history.
- Prior related experience preferred as a rigger in construction industry.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer experience needed.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety first attitude.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated
- OSHA 10 preferred
- Forklift certification, preferred
Physical Demands:
- This position requires that an employee be able to stand, walk, and lift to 50lbs. for 2/3 or more of their shift. Rigger frequently, reach, stretch, climb, crouch, push or pull large objects, grasp, and carry heavy objects, and sit. Finally, the job may require a minimal amount of crawling.
