Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase goods and services in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage RFQs (Request for Quotes), purchase requisitions, and purchase orders efficiently and accurately.
- Evaluate and select vendors based on price, reliability, capacity, and historical performance.
- Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and other savings opportunities with vendors.
- Maintain and update vendor records, including pricing histories and contract details.
- Ensure all procurement documentation is accurate and meets reasonable terms and conditions.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels using Just-In-Time (JIT) strategies.
- Collaborate with managers and departments to align inventory with project needs.
- Perform regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Reconcile variances in inventory and investigate discrepancies.
- Process material returns, scrap transactions, and inter-branch equipment transfers.
- Maintain accuracy in scaffold and hoist asset tracking systems.
- Use the NextGen Purchasing system to manage requisitions, generate purchase orders, and process receipts.
- Prepare and distribute inventory balance and variance reports.
- Oversee inventory control reporting, analysis, and risk management.
- Ensure branch compliance with BrandSafway Delegation of Authority policies.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Liaise with corporate procurement to adhere to the preferred vendor list.
- Support efforts to reduce branch credit card purchases and control purchasing terms.
- Partner with sales, customer service, and logistics teams to enhance efficiency.
- Work with the accounting team to apply proper costing methods and learn the chart of accounts.
- Collaborate with the operations team to verify job site material accuracy.
- Manage procurement of fixed assets and consumable inventory.
- Assist with fleet part management and BAS inventory system as needed.
- Process load list requests, converting them to shipments in the inventory system.
- Support efforts to minimize re-rent items and maximize internal resource utilization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management or procurement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in the construction industry preferred.
- Self-motivated with a passion for thriving in a fast-paced environment.
BrandSafway offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance along with a generous 401k plan. The salary range for this position is $85k - $95k annually. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.
