Title – Lead Scaffold Builder
Location – 655 Huron Ave. Memphis, TN 38107
Hours – Monday-Friday, 7a - 5p (OT or occasional weekends based on business needs)
Type – Full-time/ Permanent

We are looking for Scaffold Builder Lead for local job sites in the Memphis, TN area. There is not per diem for this role.

Description of Essential Duties

• Determine the materials needed for basic, intermediate, and advanced scaffolds.
• During scaffold dismantling, from the ground, receive materials and place into a rack for transport back to the scaffold yard.
• Erecting/dismantling system scaffold trash chutes
• Scaffold shoring.
• Installing/dismantling swing stages.
• Installing/Dismantling Hydro-mobile platforms.
• Installing/dismantling Quik Deck platforms.
• During scaffold erection, unload and stage materials as directed and pass material to a scaffold crew from the ground.
• Inspect scaffold components for damage and/or defects.
• Lead a crew during all scaffold activities.
• Lead a crew in hazard recognition and mitigation, site preparation, the unloading and staging of materials and site housekeeping.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site free from any unnecessary hazards associated with the work being performed by a scaffold crew.
• Mentor and develop other members of their scaffold crew.
• Organize and maintain a scaffold yard, including the unloading of racks after the dismantling of a scaffold.
• Perform all assigned duties on a job site, as directed by supervision.
• Prepare work site for the erecting and/or dismantling of a scaffold.
• Read and interpret blueprints, instructions, drawings, and other work planning specifications.
• Utilize scaffold tools while erecting or dismantling a scaffold as part of a crew.
• While utilizing scaffold tools, participate in the erecting and dismantling of scaffold which includes, but is not limited to the setting up, leveling, and squaring of a scaffold base, attaching bracing, horizontals, ladders, toe boards, swing gates, etc.

Qualification Requirements

• At least three years of scaffold experience is preferred.
• High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent
• Requires experience using forklift, hammer, pry-bar, banding tools, power tools (i.e. drill motor, screw guns).
• Requires good oral communication skills.
• Requires the ability to do basic math.
• Requires the ability to present a clean and professional image.
• Scaffold experience in the commercial or industrial markets is required.
