BrandSafway offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance along with a generous 401k plan.  Salary range for this position is $85-115k annually.  This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. 

Schedule: Monday-Friday (On-call 7 days a week)

Responsibilities
  • Use Workers Compensation knowledge to reduce or transfer risk and set up prevention programs/techniques.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with managers to stay abreast of current and future training needs.
  • Formulates general safety policies and procedures to be followed by company or plant personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
  • Keeps managers and Team Members alerted as to the hazards of working with toxic fumes, dangerous chemicals, and any other hazardous substances.
  • Participates in the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.
  • Compiles and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Oversees the administration of workers' compensation program, including working with the insurance carrier to cut down on lost employee time and cut back on unjust claims.
  • Devises, supervises, and coordinates training programs or media which will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness.
  • Represents the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.
  • Ensures that all accidents are appropriately investigated and reported to insurance carriers.  May personally participate in the investigation of accidents and injuries.  Conducts studies and analyses of accident causes and hazards to health for use by company personnel and outside agencies.
  • Ensures preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations is done in a timely manner.  May represent the company at mediation, trials, and OSHA proceedings.  Must have experience in mitigating OSHA citations.  Monitors the submission of accident reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains safety files and records
  • Aid HR through the hiring process.
  • Working knowledge of NCMS, PTC (Assist and Drug Testing/Background Check), Driver Qualification Files, DOT Clearinghouse Services
  • Travel up to 60%
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree (30+ hours of college courses) – may consider years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Strong leadership abilities to inspire and coach employees to accomplish strategic goals.
  • Experience in the construction industry (3+ years’ experience)
  • Requires experience in presenting training materials in a group setting.
  • Advance knowledge and understanding of current construction and general industry safety regulations and the ability to analyze and interpret this data for the safety of employees, job sites, and the branch.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills to effectively train, motivate, and communicate with employees, supervisors, and customers.
  • Attention to detail, auditing experience
  • Above average computer skills with the ability to proficiently use the Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving history
  • Satisfactory criminal background check.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of Pipeline experience, compliance with PHMSA/FMCSA
  • Open to travel up to 60%
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
