We are looking for a Billing Supervisor.  The billing supervisor is responsible for training, managing a team of 3-6 billers, maintaining documentation, month end activities, and support the audit and collection teams.  Familiarity with job contracts, BrandSafway procedures, and client standards allows the incumbent to satisfy this job’s functions and expectations.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Location:  San Antonio, TX  (Possibility for Pasadena, travel required)
 

Responsibilities

• Manage and support team of 3-6 billers
• Train and develop team
• Provide back up for billers, as needed
• Set up contract rates in billing systems
• Confirm all postings of invoices in J&E system
• Prepare and manage weekly and monthly KPI
• Assist in monthly closing to ensure discrepancy resolution, finalized billing, and accurate accrual bookings.
• Manage customer portals
• Prepare customer pay applications & release of lien for review and notarization
• Point person for all internal and external audits
• Provide support to the collections team
• Acts as main liaison between operations and sales teams
• Supports the resolution of customer issues
• Develop an understanding of jobs based on the contract as well as client and BrandSafway requirements.
• Ensure our stewardship of the client through relationships and communication.
• Active problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Remain informed about present as well as changing tax and deduction laws that apply to relevant billing.
• Follows all procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
• Develop expertise in client ERP systems
• Other duties as assigned.
• Travel required

• 4-year degree in business or related field or very strong work experience
• Previous accounting experience in accounts receivable or payable, billing, payroll, or other similar functions is desired, but not required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team in a finance or administrative function with 5+ years’ experience in billing
• 2 years’ experience in construction industry or industrial services industry
• Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish/English)
