We are seeking a strategic and influential leader to join our Enterprise Technology team in Costa Rica as the Manager, Power Platform & Integration Services. This critical role involves setting the vision, defining the roadmap, and driving the execution for both the Microsoft Power Platform, Workato Integration, RPA Platforms. You will lead a team of dedicated employees and contractors, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and high delivery commitment (say-do ratio). This position is key to establishing robust governance, managing platform controls, and enabling both centralized and federated development models across our global organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a matrixed environment, excels at cross-functional collaboration, and is passionate about empowering the organization through low-code/no-code application development and seamless integration solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, manage, coach, and mentor a diverse team of Power Platform and Workato specialists (employees and contractors), promoting skill development and driving high performance.
  • Vision & Strategy: Define, articulate, and champion the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for both Power Platform and Workato iPaaS, ensuring alignment with broader Enterprise Technology and business objectives.
  • Execution & Delivery Excellence: Oversee the execution of the platform roadmaps, ensuring projects and initiatives are delivered effectively, on time, and meet quality standards. Drive accountability and maintain a high say-do ratio for team commitments.
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance: Establish, implement, and mature comprehensive governance frameworks, standards, security controls, and best practices for both Power Platform and Workato across the enterprise.
  • Federated & Centralized Development: Design, implement, support, and refine operating models that enable both centralized IT development and federated/citizen development on the Platforms, ensuring appropriate guardrails and support structures.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for these platforms, engaging effectively with global, cross-functional teams and leadership within a complex matrixed organization. Build strong partnerships across IT and business units.
  • Intake & Backlog Management: Develop and manage efficient intake processes (funnel) for new platform requests, enhancements, and projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize the backlog for execution by the relevant teams.
  • Education & Enablement: Educate IT leadership, development teams, and business stakeholders on the strategic value, capabilities, use cases, and best practices for utilizing Power Platform and Workato effectively and securely.
  • Platform Optimization: Oversee the overall health, performance, security posture, licensing, and cost-effectiveness of both platforms, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure robust operational processes are in place for platform support, maintenance, and lifecycle management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role managing technical teams, including direct experience managing both employees and contractors/vendors. Demonstrated ability in coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Strong strategic understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, CoPilot Studio), including its architecture, governance aspects, and common use cases.
  • Strong strategic understanding and working knowledge of the Workato Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) concepts, architecture, and governance, with specific familiarity or experience managing Workato highly desirable.
  • Strong strategic understanding and working knowledge of the RPA concepts, architecture, and governance, with specific familiarity or experience managing UiPath/RPA highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing technology product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
  • Proven track record of driving execution excellence and delivering complex technical projects or platform initiatives.
  • Experience establishing and managing technology governance frameworks, policies, and controls within a large organization.
  • Understanding of different software development lifecycle models and experience supporting both professional IT development and citizen development programs.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, backlog management, and prioritization techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Spanish proficiency is a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct hands-on administration or development experience with Power Platform or Workato.
  • Experience managing platform budgets, licensing, and vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with related enterprise technologies (e.g., ERP, CRM, Cloud platforms like Azure/AWS).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect, Workato certifications, ITIL, PMP, Agile/Scrum Master).
