Key Responsibilities
- Develop baselines for budgets and schedules and forecast resource requirements;
- Manage cost control, performance measurement, and change management processes;
- Implement and ensure accurate performance measurements and prepare project reports;
- Provide input to proposal preparation and project execution plan development;
- Ensure compliance with Company and customer policies and procedures;
- Provide leadership and education in zero-incident safety culture and safe work practices;
- Business controls documentation, coordination and support activities used to manage day-to-day business and client audits;
- Tracking any value initiatives for clients;
- Provide business analysis to Management team as needed;
- Provide leadership, and guidance to project controls administrative team;
- Ability to train, develop, and mentor team members;
- Participate in development activities for continual improvement in the project control system & services;
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications
- 8-10 years related experience, preferably in an industrial setting;
- Previous experience in estimating and forecasting is preferred;
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or another technical field from an accredited university is preferred
- Project management certification is preferred;
- A basic understanding of SAP is considered an asset;
- Working knowledge and skills in the use of software such as Power BI and Business Objects with report writing experience is required; Primavera P6 would be an asset
- Expert proficiency in Excel with the ability to create and utilize complex formulas and functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Strong time management and organization skills in order to meet various competing deadlines;
- Ability to work within a multi-functional team and build a positive team environment;
- Ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment with competing demands;
- Ability to display sound and accurate judgment with the ability to resolve problems in a timely manner
