Key Responsibilities:

• Work closing with internal resources and external third-party tax return preparer to ensure the accuracy and completeness of such filings including extracting and analyzing data from the Company’s ERP system and/or consolidation software to facilitate and support analysis, reconciliations and preparation of tax-related information, schedules, and disclosures.
• Analyze Company data used to prepare indirect tax returns and timely send such information to third-party tax return preparer.   
• Preparation of indirect tax account reconciliations including tax accruals.
• Assist in the development of systems and procedures to improve the indirect tax process, including but not limited to automation, implementing sales tax exemption best practices, and indirect tax engine implementation.
• Audit support and respond to tax notices. 
• Preparation and maintenance of work papers in compliance with departmental policies and the Company’s internal control standards.
• Conducting tax research on various tax matters.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3 years’ indirect tax experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and indirect taxes.
• Preferred Education & Experience
  • Master’s Degree and/or CPA is a plus
• Solid knowledge of finance and accounting required
• Hands-on problem-solving ability while working on tight deadlines
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to analyze qualitative data
• Exceptional analytical, statistical, quantitative, and deduction skills
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization
• Ability to develop working relationships within the Finance Department and other business groups
• Exceptional verbal communication skills
• Excellent written communication skills
• Strong PC, Microsoft Excel and application software skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. 
• Previous experience with Alteryx and/or indirect tax software such as ONESOURCE is a plus.

BrandSafway offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance along with a generous 401k plan. The salary range for this position is $93,000 - $118,000 annually. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.
