Salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 annually. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in leading the month-end close process for the division, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. 
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate to streamline and accelerate the close process.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain monthly close schedules, coordinating with accounting teams to meet deadlines and ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Support the Division Controller in managing key accounting operations, including payroll, fixed assets, accounts payable, and sales/business tax.
  • Oversee job-cost review procedures to ensure proper revenue accounting and cost allocation, with emphasis on complex projects in the refinery and petrochemical sectors.
  • Provide detailed balance sheet and income statement variance analysis for internal management and parent company reporting.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany profit in inventory for consolidation.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities, managing information requests and ensuring a smooth audit process.
  • Manage customer audits, particularly for large refinery and petrochemical clients, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and accurate financial representation.
  • Establish and maintain a SOX-compliant control environment, aligning with internal controls and industry best practices.
  • Assist with implementing new accounting standards, offering guidance on procedures and ensuring compliance.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic financial decisions and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in accounting, with preferred public accounting and public company experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and experience managing large data sets; Power BI and SQL experience highly desired.
  • Software:  preferred HFM financial consolidations, Blackline – journal entries and reconciliations
  • Financial Acumen: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and make actionable recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate financial insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build effective relationships across departments.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Industry Knowledge: Construction, EPC, or Industrial Services industry experience is a plus.
