Key Responsibilities:

- Selected candidate will join the Central EHS team as the NAM environmental and waste management program leader and report to the Director – Environment, Health & ESG.
- Responsibilities include:
- Perform site visits at company fixed facilities and project sites to evaluate waste management compliance and best practices.
- Supporting the development, implementation, and approval of waste handling plans consistent with company procedures.
- Coordination with procurement teams to assess waste management vendor performance and standardizations
- Serve as a recycling program champion and lead the creation and implementation of recycling programs at company facilities.
- Support Regional EHS Leadership and Corporate teams in the navigation of regulatory compliance inspections.
- Role will also be responsible for improving annual waste compliance reporting (annual tier II submissions, hazardous waste reporting, etc.) processes and implementing recycling programs in support of sustainability initiatives.
- Role is will primarily be a resource to Regional EHS and Operational teams throughout North America (USA and Canada) but will have international collaboration opportunities.
- Supporting and championing environmental sustainability initiatives that drive value creation for our business units and various stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies/science or related field.
- Ideal candidate has 4-8 years of environmental compliance, regulatory, consulting, waste management, stormwater management, air quality permitting, or other relevant experience.
- This is a remote position; however, the selected candidate should be able to reasonably access a major airport to successfully perform their duties.
- Role requires the ability to travel 50-75% of a typical month in support of the 230+ NAM facilities from which BrandSafway operates.
- Strong organization, presentation, and collaborative skills/attitude
- Experience with EHS related software platforms, data management systems, Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/SharePoint/Teams
BrandSafway offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance along with a generous 401k plan. The salary range for this position is $120k - $150k annually. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.
